ART + PARK COLLECTIVE
The Art & Park Collective is a partnership with ABAG and Summit Metro Parks, establishing equitable opportunities for black artists in Summit County. Artists will produce learning experiences through a series of nature-inspired workshops to showcase the work of local Black artists in various Summit Metro Park locations.

Creative Writing & Hiking with Poet Xposyur
Saturday, July 27th
1-3:00pm
Hike and explore using all five senses to write about life’s journey. Surrounded by nature, the workshop will encourage participants to pen poetry about life’s challenges, pivots, and desires to create new paths to discover. For ages 10 & up, journals and writing tools are provided.

African Drumming with Berhane Okantah

Two Classes Available
1-2:00pm or 2:30-3:30pm
An interactive workshop for all ages to explore nature through African drumming & artistic expression. Participants will enhance their listening skills and hand and eye coordination while building confidence and community. Designed to create an engaging experience with multiple ways to participate.

Nature Zines with The Zine Zone

In the Zine Zone, create a self-published booklet expressing your artistic vision that captures the essence and endearment of nature. For all ages, using text and images, join us and design and collage a nature-inspired Zine.
