What’s your best idea for a workshop?
We’re seeking experienced artists to lead or teach nature-inspired workshops in various Summit Metro Parks this summer. This role is ideal for artists who are passionate about nature and have experience sharing their knowledge and skills with a diverse audience.
Workshop Examples (including but not limited to):
Jewelry Making: Guide participants through the process of creating nature-inspired jewelry, utilizing materials that reflect the beauty of the natural world.
Sketching: Teach techniques for capturing the essence of nature through pencil or charcoal sketches, focusing on landscapes, flora, and fauna.
Nature Photography: Lead a workshop on the art of photographing nature, including tips on lighting, composition, and capturing wildlife.
Painting: Conduct a session on painting natural scenes, whether in watercolor, acrylics, or oils, emphasizing techniques to portray nature's vibrant colors and textures.
Nature Writing: Host a workshop for writers on crafting prose or poetry inspired by the natural world, focusing on descriptive language, nature metaphors, and environmental storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead or teach a nature-inspired workshop.
Engage with participants of varying skill levels.
Prepare a comprehensive plan for the workshop, including a list of required materials (which will be supplied by the Guild).
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for all participants.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in an artistic discipline.
Previous experience in teaching or leading workshops/demonstrations is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
A strong portfolio showcasing artistic work.
Compensation
